James Land is a Devon based filmmaker with a passion for telling Regionally focused stories.
James graduated from Middlesex University in 2016 with a first class degree in film. His dissertation film "The art of my scars" was screened at the BFI and nominated for a Royal Television Society award in 2017.
Since 2016, James has worked in short drama, documentary, experimental film and music video - either as writer, director or producer.
Some of his work has screened at Aesthetica Film Festival, Fest Porto, KinoFilm Fest Berlin and the New York Hip-Hop Film Festival - amongst others globally.
James teaches media, Film and Tv at Exeter College and has taught short courses in Mobile Filmmaking and Screenwriting for Local NFP Organisations.
